Mini bio

  • Stephen is a writer, director, director of photography and editor out of Portland, Oregon. Both college educated and self-taught in many aspects of film production and various cinematic styles his work in film dates back to the late 1990s. For the last three years Stephen has been fervently pursuing a career in film writing, shooting and cutting together many of his own screenplays. His real start was on a 40-minute short production titled "The Way We Are", which chronicles the suffering of a repeat rape victim. In that film Stephen found that his style was best suitable for dramatic film, focusing in on the many struggles we face every day in the real world. His work ethic is unceasing, dedicating weeks to pre-production even on short films. He has also developed a very strong reputation as a film director in the rapidly growing industry in the Portland area. Stephen's other top works include "I Love You, I Love You" (2013), "The Runner" (2013), and the recently completed "Our World's Collide" (2014), which follows the bond between two very different women who must band together when the abusive boyfriend of one of them comes calling.
