Judy Ponder met Bart Patton on July 22, 1975, on the set of The Farmer. Ironically, they were both hired the same day to replace other crew members. The chance meeting marked the beginning of a lifelong partnership. The rest, as they say, is history.
The couple made their home in Atlanta, but while working on a major project in Los Angeles, they decided to marry. In true Hollywood fashion, they planned their wedding in just two days and were married on January 22, 1980, at the Pacific Palisades home of Bob Reagan Sr. Later that year, they welcomed their son, Marlon, completing the beginning of a new chapter in their lives together.
Bart Patton passed away peacefully on the morning of February 2, 2026. He is deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. His memory lives on through the life he shared with Judy, the family they built together, and the countless lives he touched along the way.
