Biography

Bernard Pomerance was born on September 23, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer and actor, known for The Elephant Man, The Elephant Man (1982) and A Perfect Couple (1984). He was married to Evelyne Franceschi and Sally Belfrage. He died on August 26, 2017 in Galisteo, New Mexico, USA.

Won Broadway's 1979 Tony Award for Best Play as author of winner "The Elephant Man."

His play, "The Elephant Man," was awarded the 1980 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Distinguished Production at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

He graduated from the University of Chicago in 1962, and eventually moved to London.
