Biography

Jindřich Polák was born on May 5, 1925 in Prague, Czechoslovakia [now Czech Republic]. He was a writer and director, known for The Sky Riders (1968), Death of Hitch-Hikers (1979) and The Visitors (1983). He died on August 22, 2003 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Frequently collaborated with screenwriter Ota Hofman.

He was originally considered as director of The Great Movie Robbery (1986), eventually directed by Oldřich Lipský and after his death by Zdeněk Podskalský.

His name is pronounced "Yin-drzhikh Poh-laak".
