Biography

Became one of the most prominent figures in the Spanish music scene of the sixties and seventies.

Father was a confectioner who died when she was twelve.

Had seven siblings.

Was one of the victims of the Bankia preferred shares fraud.

After retiring from all public life in the early 2020's, she spent the last years of her life in a residence for the elderly in Avila, near her daughter. She was murdered in her sleep by a fellow resident suffering from dementia who had just arrived to the residence two days earlier. She was 86 years old.
