- Alexandra's real name is Sandra McKibbin. She chose her stage name because it wouldn't be easily forgotten and she thought it would be funny to see cheques made out to A Pigg. She started out by reading her own poems in pubs, followed by a stint at ballet school where she got her Equity card dancing in night clubs using her pet python as a gimmick. Took the role of Petra in the television soap Brookside, then got her big break in the film Letter to Brezchnev.
