Gene Pietragallo is an American actor, writer, producer, and director known for his work across television, film, and theater. He began his career on stage before earning a degree in Television and Film Production from Loyola Marymount University. His early on-screen roles include appearances on MASH*, Search for Tomorrow, and Hill Street Blues, as well as in the final films of legendary actors Bette Davis and Glenn Ford.
Pietragallo gained recognition behind the scenes as a producer on the Morton Downey Jr. Show, where he wrote and produced 168 episodes. He later founded his own production company, creating national infomercials and media campaigns for major clients across entertainment, politics, and tourism.
In 2012, he wrote, produced, and starred in The Encore of Tony Duran, a deeply personal independent feature that won seven Best Picture awards on the festival circuit. Known for his versatility and commitment to storytelling, Pietragallo continues to bring passion and experience to both sides of the camera.
