Alan Pickford was born on 21 July 1929 in Hazel Grove, Stockport, Cheshire, England, UK. He was a production designer and art director, known for The Jewel in the Crown (1984), The Hanged Man (1975) and So It Goes (1973). He was married to Helen Lindsay. He died on 31 December 2002 in Venice, Italy.
