She is a well-known St. Petersburg composer, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, member of the Board of the Union of Composers of St. Petersburg. Among the compositions of the composer are several operas and ballets staged in theaters of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Minsk, Novosibirsk, Perm, Klaipeda, Kiev, Yoshkar-Ola, Kharkov; symphonic and chamber music, musicals, music for children ... But a special place in the work of Olga Petrova is music for theater and cinema. She composed music for more than twenty drama and puppet theaters, music for two series "Petersburg Secrets" and "Salome" (together with A.Petrov) and twelve feature films (Lenfilm, Mosfilm, Gorky Studio, Norwegian film studio) .
