She did not gain weight for her role in Saturday Night Fever (1977), however she lost 15 lbs. before the iconic film's release.

In 2023, Pescow made a cameo appearance alongside John Travolta in a Christmas commercial for Capitol One Financial Corporation, as the cashier in a shoe store that Santa Claus (Travolta) visits.

She did not have a driver's license until she was 25 years old.

Auditioned six times for the role of Annette in Saturday Night Fever (1977) - three times for original director John G. Avildsen then, after he was fired, three more times for replacement director John Badham - before she got the role.

She took drama classes with Rocky (1976) co-star Carl Weathers.

In 1982, she played the role of Dr. Lynn Carson on the soap opera All My Children (1970), who was the first lesbian character on a daytime serial until 1983. In 1999, she appeared on the soap opera General Hospital (1963) as Gertrude Morgan, the evil aunt of Chloe Morgan, until she was written out in 2001.

Attended and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA), where she lost her native Brooklyn accent (1975). She had to relearn the accent for her role in Saturday Night Fever (1977).

During the second season of the sitcom Out of This World (1987), Pescow became pregnant. Since this could not be explained how her character became pregnant while her husband was away fighting a war, Pescow was filmed using only close-up shots or position so that something was hiding her pregnancy.

Attended and graduated from Sheepshead Bay High School in Brooklyn, New York City (1972).
