Biography

Joseph Perry was born on August 5, 1863 in Birmingham, England, UK. He was a director and writer, known for The Social Lecture (1898), The Scottish Covenanters (1909) and Passion Films (1899). He died on April 29, 1943 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Father of Orrie Perry , Reg Perry and Stanley Perry. All three sons followed him into the film business. Orrie and Reg had a brief spell in film production and eventually all three sons et into cinema management.

Held the rank of Major in The Salvation Army.
