Gillian Arnold was born to theatrical parents Dickie and Mitzi, midgets
who had a successful career performing a cabaret/vaudeville act.
Theatre was in Gillian's blood, and she became a Windmill girl,
performing at the famous Windmill Theatre in Soho, when still in her
teens. She first appeared nude aged 15.
She changed her name to Danee Arnold, and had mixed fortunes as an actress, singer and TV presenter in the 1960s. She changed her name to Polly Perkins as the 60s moved on, and as her career progressed.
Polly moved to Spain, where she still lives. Her best known performance was as Trish Valentine, washed-up nightclub singer, in the BBC's cruelly under-rated and shortlived Spanish soap Eldorado (1992), in the mid-90s.
