Biography

Tony Peers was born in 1947 in Wigan, Lancashire, England, UK. He was an actor, known for L.A. Without a Map (1998), Coronation Street (1960) and Funny Bones (1995). He died on July 23, 2025 in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England, UK.

After leaving Coronation Street, he went on to star in many shows and films, including Emmerdale, before becoming a stand-up comedian.

Best known for his roles as Peter Mallett in Coronation Street and as Bryan Dodds in Emmerdale.

Began his career in the 1960's, working at Butlins resorts. He eventually became a stand-up comedian, performing at many venues, and supporting some of the biggest names in entertainment. In the 1980's, he moved to Scarborough to run the entertainment at what was then the 'Butlins Grand Hotel'.
