Jennifer Paz(I)

Jennifer is an award-winning actor, writer, producer, and advocate for authentic storytelling. Born in the Philippines and raised in the Seattle area, Jennifer made her professional debut as a performer with Broadway, touring, and regional credits. As an emerging screenwriter, her original pilot "Proud Marys" won the Outstanding Screenplays TV Pilot Competition 2021, and is being developed as a musical with book and lyrics by Jennifer Paz and music and lyrics by Anthony Fedorov. Jennifer is a 2022 cohort with the Unlock Her Potential mentor-ship program with show-runner/producer Brian Yorkey, a 2023 NAMT Writers Residency Grant recipient (East West Players), and a 2024 cohort with the prestigious Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Grove residency at Goodspeed Musicals in Connecticut (birthplace of Annie). "Proud Marys" was selected for NAMT Fest '24 (National Alliance for Musical Theatre) and presented off-Broadway at New World Stages, followed by a developmental reading at the Dramatists Guild Foundation in NYC, and is a Eugene O'Neill NMTC 2026 Semifinalist.

She is a recipient of the 2024 APAFT (Asian Pacific American Friends of the Theater) Emerging Playwright Fellowship, a finalist for the 2025 NBC TV Writers Program, a finalist for the Dramatist Guild Foundation Musical Theatre Fellowship program, and a finalist for Signature Theatre's SigWorks: Musical Theater Lab 2026.
