  • As the 1948 Olympic Figure Skating Champion, Barbara Ann Scott from Canada had turned pro the Austrian Eva Pawlik was celebrated as the world's highest ranking female amateur skater in the summer of 1948. Pawlik did a lot of exhibition skating in the US, where she was also asked to be the lead boss of the revue 'Holiday On Ice', considered Pawlik Europe's best show-star on the ice since Sonja Henie.

  • Four times Austrian Champion as a single skater (from 1946 to 1949 running), 1948 Olympic runner-up, Silver Medalist at the 1948 World's, 1949 European Champion. Starring at the Vienna Ice Revue in the fifties, as a single skater and - together with her husband Rudi Seeliger - as a figure skating pair. Morris Chalfen, the boss of the competitor enterprise "Holiday On Ice", considered her Europe's best show star on ice since the thrice Olympic Champion Sonja Henie. In 1954, Pawlik earned a doctorate of philosophy at the Vienna University. From 1963 to 1972 she was the first sportswoman to be a sportscaster for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF.
