Biography

Edward Parone was born on August 30, 1925 in Hartford, Connecticut, USA. He was a director and actor, known for Black Moon Rising (1986), The Misfits (1961) and Modernes Theater auf kleinen Bühnen (1964). He died on January 24, 2016 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.

He was nominated for a 1973 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Director of a Play for "The Mind with the Dirty Man" at the Arlington Park Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.

He was awarded the 1971 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Distinguished Direction for the play, "Major Barbara" at the Mark Taper Forum Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

"50/60 Vision" at the Mark Taper Forum Theatre in Los Angeles, California was awarded the 1990 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Special Award.

He and Gordon Davidson were awarded the 1973 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Special Award for Concept: NTFN "In The Works" Festival" for the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, California.

He and Gordon Davidson were awarded the 1969 Margo Jones Award for New Theatre for Now (NTFN) for encouraging news plays and playwrights at the Mark Taper Forum Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
