  • Charles Papert has amassed a range of Directing credits from episodic to live multi-camera and commercials. His Director of Photography work emphasizes versatility, as demonstrated in the beloved sketch series Key and Peele. Previously he had an extensive career as Steadicam and camera operator, with credits including the cult favorite Office Space (1999) and the powerful American History X (1998), and television series such as Scrubs (2001) and The West Wing (1999).

    Originally from the UK and subsequently raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, Papert briefly attended NYU film school. In addition to his traditional industry credits, Papert is one of the co-creators of Instant Films, the first 48-hour filmmaking festival based in Los Angeles. During his tenure there he executive produced over 125 short films, 11 of which he directed. He is also the inventor and patent holder of the ZeeGee, a handheld-emulating camera mount.
