Antonis Papadopoulos(1932-1983)

Antonis Papadopoulos was a Greek actor of cinema and theatre, remembered as one of the most distinctive supporting figures of popular Greek film during the late 1960s and 1970s. With a highly recognizable presence and expressive style, he became closely associated with comedic roles, often portraying naive, grumbling, or perpetually dissatisfied characters that resonated strongly with audiences. He formed a memorable on-screen partnership with Thanasis Vengos in the series of surreal Agent Thou-Vou comedies, appearing as the loyal assistant to Vengos' eccentric secret agent, a collaboration that cemented his place in the era's comedic landscape. Alongside these appearances, he took part in numerous films of the period, gradually moving into more prominent roles in the early 1980s, including the commercially successful Roda, tsanta kai kopana (1982). Off screen, he maintained close personal relationships within artistic circles and was related to songwriter Hristos Thivaios.
