Matt Palmieri

Palmieri began his entertainment career working as a senior creative and production executive at MGM Studios where he participated in the development, production, acquisition, marketing and distribution of dozens of major motion pictures, most notably THELMA & LOUISE which won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and Academy Award nominations for Best Director (Ridley Scott), Best Actress (for Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis), Best Cinematography and Best Editing. After leaving MGM, Palmieri was nominated for an Academy Award and won numerous film festivals around the world for directing and producing CRUISE CONTROL starring Sean Penn and Harry Dean Stanton. Palmieri also executive produced and co-financed the Sundance Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival award winning feature film MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE directed by Sean Durkin starring Elizabeth Olsen, produced and fully financed the Sundance Film Festival nominated SIMON KILLER directed by Antonio Campos, executive produced the award winning feature documentary film DARFUR NOW starring George Clooney and Don Cheadle, and produced the Cannes Film Festival nominated THE LAST FACE directed by Sean Penn starring Javier Bardem and Charlize Theron.
