Biography

Edward V. Padula was born on January 24, 1916 in Newark, New Jersey, USA. He was a director, known for Bye Bye Birdie (1963), Kraft Mystery Theatre (1947) and The Cotton Club (1984). He died on November 1, 2001 in Water Mill, New York, USA.

Broadway producer.

In 1961, won two Tony Awards: as Best Producer (Musical) and, in association with L. Slade Brown, as producer of the Best Musical winner "Bye, Bye Birdie". He was also Tony-nominated in 1973, with collaborator Arch Lustberg, as producer of Best Musical nominee "Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope".
