Biography

Gyula Pados is a Hungarian born, Los Angeles based Director of Photography who has worked on dozens of incredibly successful films, music videos, and international commercial campaigns. His European carrier started with the Hungarian film KONTROLL that won the Gold Hugo Award at the Chicago International Film Festival. He won one of the most prestigious cinematography awards, the Golden Frog Award, at Camerimage International Film Festival for cinematography in FATELESS. His other film, THE DUCHESS, was nominated for the Golden Frog as well. FATELESS was nominated for the European Film Award for Best Cinematography and it won several other cinematography prizes around the world. After, Gyula moved to America where he collaborated with Craig Gillespie on MILLION DOLLAR ARM. Then, he worked on the extremely successful Maze Runner trilogy, THE SCORCH TRIALS and THE DEATH CURE, with director Wes Ball. Gyula was the cinematographer on the block buster movie, JUMANJI : WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, and the upcoming sequel, JUMANJI : THE NEXT LEVEL, with director Jake Kasdan.
