- Wendy Ord has just been nominated for a 2025 Leo Award -Best Direction Television Movie- for the LifeTime True Crime Drama "Searching for a Serial Killer - the Regina Smith Story". She has directed 11 movies for Television in the past 3 years, all of which premiered on Hallmark or LifeTime. Her work includes Romantic Comedies, Christmas Movies and Thrillers. She was nominated for a 2024 Leo award- Best Direction in a Television Movie for "The Perfect Christmas Carol". Wendy brings creativity & passion to all her films as well as a breadth of experience to get them done on time and on budget.
She wrote, directed and co-produced "To The Worlds", which won 2020's Canadian Screen Award for Best Documentary Program. It was CBC's highest rated doc of the year & garnered rave reviews.
