- Yuji Okumoto was born on April 20, 1959 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for The Karate Kid Part II (1986), Inception (2010) and Johnny Tsunami (1999). He has been married to Angela Okumoto since 2001. They have three children.

- Started his martial arts training at the age of 13, in Chito-Ryu Karate. Later he also trained in Shotokan, Kajukenbo and Judo. After that he practiced Yau Kung Moon, a southern style Gung Fu. He had a brown belt in Karate during the shooting of Karate Kid 2.
- He and his family own a Hawaiian food restaurant in the Seattle which opened in 2002.
