Brian O'Carroll , Producer,Director,DP, (IMDb) , an Irishman in New York City. He recently completed the short films ACE (dir. Timothy Zakerin), a fast-talking Neo-Noir from a kids perspective, and LAST FAIR DEAL (dir. Nicholas Gray), a (proof of concept) look at Blues great Robert Johnson's famous deal with the Devil, soon to become a feature. He co -produced and photographed BLUE CAPRICE, which sold to IFC after premiering at Sundance , (dir. Alex Moors) and was nominated for an independent Spirit award . ALL THE BEAUTIFUL THINGS, a 35mm doc/drama feature film that also Premiered at Sundance . THE YELLOW BIRDS (dir. Alex Moors) on which Brian shot 2nd unit, won Best Cinematography at Sundance . Coming from a decade of shooting news, conflict, science and human condition documentaries, Brian lenses with insight and honesty. Brian teamed up with Ruan Magan teamed up to make the short film ANGEL which won best short film in numerous festivals , including Milan Film Festival.Brian and Ruan Magan then wanton to make 4 episodes of THE MEN WHO BUILT AMERICA for History.

Brian has been honored with an Emerging Cinematographer Award three times by the International Cinematographers Guild, for CHERRY BLOOM, 8 FOR INFINITY and ANGEL. Brian shot CONVENTIONEERS, which Premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival , and won a Spirit Award.

With a wealth of documentaries, commercials, broadcast spots, music videos, shorts and indie features to his credit, as a Cinematographer and increasingly as a Director+DP, Brian continues to feel privileged to be a part of this world of storytelling. With a remarkably personal style, his approach to the craft of filmmaking is both reverent and inventive.
