Biography

Paddy O'Byrne was born on December 8, 1929 in Killiney, County Dublin, Ireland. He was an actor, known for The Gods Must Be Crazy (1980), The Professor and the Beauty Queen (1967) and Crazy Safari (1991). He was married to Victoria Fitzpatrick. He died on December 4, 2013 in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland.

Former BBC radio announcer.

After departing BBC, he was a broadcasting icon on South African radio for many years.

Worked with a little known community station called Radio Today in Johannesburg.

Retired and living in Ireland.
