- Villen Novak was born on January 3, 1938 in Glezno, Zhitomir Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, USSR [now Hlezne, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukraine]. He was a director and actor, known for Printsessa na bobakh (1998), Gu-Ga (1989) and Krasnye dipkurery (1977). He died on March 29, 2026 in Ukraine.
- Graduated from the Kiev Film College (1956) and the Kiev Institute of Theater Art (1971).
- Worked as a film distribution inspector, and since 1971 - a director of the Odessa Film Studio of Feature Films.
- Member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine (1999), Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2002).
