- Gabi Novak is a famous Croatian singer. She is the daughter of Djuro Novak and Elizabeth Reiman. Since 1973, she has been married to musician Arsen Dedic with whom she has a son Matija Dedic, who is also actively engaged in the music business.

- Novak's father was Croatian, her mother German. At the beginning of World War II, the family fled to the island of Hvar.
- In addition to her work as a pop singer, Gabi Novak also interpreted chansons and jazz; her jazz album In Concert: Jazzarella ZKM 2009 was produced by her son, the pianist Matija Dedic.
