- Her Native American tribal heritage is Colville (enrolled member) and Salish-Kootenai.
- She and her husband, along with actor/producer Yvonne Russo, co-founded and directed the highly-acclaimed Akatubi Film and Music Academy for native and non-native youth in tribal communities.
- Was raised in Idabel, OK, and graduated from Idabel High School.
- She attended UCLA on scholarship where she was a member of the Songleading (Pom-Pom) Squad and graduated with a bachelor's degree in History.
- She is a co-founding member of The StyleHorse Collective, an Indigenous production team that works with tribes, tribal entities and non-profits, and individuals to help tell their stories through film, music and original online content.
- Was invited to join the actor's branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences in 2021.
