Known for his scores for crime, drama and documentaries, and his experimental choral and electronic music, David Norland is an English composer living and working in London.
His screen work includes the score to the Emmy-nominated HBO film "My Dinner With Herve" starring Peter Dinklage and Jamie Dornan, the Emmy-winning documentary "Anvil! The Story Of Anvil", and much of the music for US broadcasting giant ABC's primetime documentaries such as the multiple-award-winning "20/20". His work for ABC has been nominated for an Emmy, and is broadcast in the US and around the world on a daily basis.
A chorister from an early age, and a boy treble in touring choir The Elizabethan Consort of Voices, alongside his screen work he also composes choral music, as well as being a long-time acolyte of all things dub and low-end - he earned a Grammy nomination for his writing and production work with Jamaican legends Sly and Robbie, and early in his career worked as a writer and producer for legendary Atlanta urban hitmaker Dallas Austin at Austin's DARP Studios.
He is signed to German experimental/neo-classical label Denovali Records.
