Biography

Tetsuya Nomura was born on October 8, 1970 in Kochi, Japan. He is a writer and director, known for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (2024), Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (2005) and Kingdom Hearts III (2019).

Gains international fame as the genius behind the characters of Final Fantasy VIII, who are credited as being "the most well developed and realistic characters ever to grace a video game, past or present."

Is fluent in Japanese and English.

Is the current main character designer and illustrator of various Square Enix games including Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy X, Parasite Eve and the Musashi video game series (Brave Fencer Musashi and Musashi: Samurai Legend).
