Niko Nitai was born on 22 December 1931 in Bucharest, Romania. He was an actor, known for New Media Bible, The: The Gospel According to St. Luke (1979), The Jesus Film (1979) and Hellbound (1994). He died on 23 March 2020 in Israel.

Born into a Jewish family, Niko Nitai migrated to Israel as he was always impressed with the Theatre at such a young age.

His voice in the 1979 Jesus film is dubbed over by an unknown British voice actor.

Paul Eshelman&#39;s book &quot;I Just Saw Jesus&quot; claims Niko Nitai became a born again Christian. This isn&#39;t true as Nitai is a devout Jew and he also publicly stated he wasn&#39;t fond of the Jesus film and hated that his voice was dubbed over in the American release.
