Giorgos Ninios

Giorgos Ninios is a Greek actor, director, and musician. He began his career on stage in the late 1970s and soon after appeared in films such as Oi Athinaioi (1990). His breakout moment came with the television drama Vammena kokkina mallia (1992), which earned him widespread recognition and awards for his performance. Over the years he became known for his versatility, balancing work in theater, cinema, and television, while also composing and performing original music for several productions. His acclaimed roles have brought him honors at the Thessaloniki Film Festival and the Greek State Film Awards, as well as recognition in theater, including for his interpretation in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Ninios has also worked as a stage director, bringing to life both contemporary and classic works, and has remained active as a songwriter and performer. In recent years, he earned praise for his role in the ERT series I paralia (2023), which further established him as one of the most respected figures in modern Greek acting.
