Biography

Lillebjørn Nilsen was born on December 21, 1950 in Oslo, Norway. He was a composer and actor, known for Blücher (1988), Framing Mom (2016) and Himmel og helvete (1969). He was married to Mairead Imlach, Svendsen, Kari and Gerberg, Shari. He died on January 27, 2024 in Norway.

Is highly regarded as perhaps Norway's leading folk singer, some of his songs have become evergreens even outside Norway. At one time he meet a girl from Iceland who remembered some of his songs from her school song book and she cried out: "Lillebjørn Nilsen!? I thought you were dead!" (as most song-writers are when they find their way into a school song book).
