Govind Nihalani was born on 19 August 1940 in Karachi, Sindh, British India. He is a cinematographer and director, known for Droh Kaal (1994), Aakrosh (1980) and Dev (2004).

Won Prestigious National Film Award for Best Cinematography for Junoon (1978) in 1979.

Brother in law of Shatrughan Sinha ( Shatrughan is married to Govind&#39;s cousin Poonam aka actress Komal).

Govind is not the Brother of Pahlaj Nihalani. There is a lot of confusion due to both having the same last name.
