- Tara Nicole Hughes is a professional Choreographer and Movement Coach for film, television and stage. Hughes has worked on every major musical film over the last decade including Chicago, Nine, Rock of Ages, Burlesque, Mary Poppins Returns, Disney's live-action film The Little Mermaid, and Joker: Folie a' Deux starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
As warm, patient and inspiring as she is talented, Hughes has a particular gift for creating a safe and energizing work environment for actors who may be intimidated by movement. As a result she's worked with some of the most brilliant of our time including Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, Marion Cotillard, Al Pacino, Penelope Cruz and Tobey Maguire, as well as with major music stars including Pharrell Williams, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Hudson.
Other choreographic credits include, for television, Good Girls Revolt, Transparent, The Guest Book, House of Lies, The Middle, Trophy Wife, Raising Hope and My Name is Earl. Feature films include Kiss of the Spider Woman (Dir. Bill Condon), Good Fortune (Dir. Aziz Ansari) Danny Collins starring Al Pacino (Dir. Dan Fogelman), The Terminal (Dir. Steven Spielberg) and The Next Best Thing (Dir. John Schlesinger).
