- Susan not only worked in films, but appeared on and off Broadway in the late 1970s.
She was well known for her social conscience and philanthropic efforts. She served as the Executive Director of several nonprofit organizations specializing in alcohol and drug abuse prevention, and later in child welfare. She lectured all over the world promoting awareness on issues affecting the well-being of families and children. She worked for nonprofit organizations to redefine mission, to increase funding and visibility, as well as providing film and video services.
For two decades, she was a successful writer/producer/documentary filmmaker. Her productions earned her a Golden Globe, a Humanitas award, and a Golden Eagle. She also received nominations for Emmy and Grammy awards.
