Kelly Nelson(III)
- Actor
Kelly Nelson is an LA based actor who works in film, television, commercials, and stage. He is known for playing confident and charismatic men: fathers, executives, charmers and competitors with a comedic flair.
Nelson arrived in Los Angeles in 1982 and earned his SAG card in a Gillette commercial directed by Joe Pytka. A student of the late Sanford Meisner and founding member of the Sanford Meisner Center for the Arts, he brings a lived-in, visceral, and deeply human quality to his performances. His most recent work includes the "playboy dad" role of Jim O’Michael in Holden Pollak’s comedy feature "The Beach Player".
In addition to his screen work, Nelson remains active in the Los Angeles theatre scene and serves on the Board of Directors at the Ruskin Group Theatre. Kelly is happily married with three children.
