- Bob Nelson was born on March 3, 1958 in Massapequa, Long Island, New York, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for Brain Donors (1992), Kindergarten Cop (1990) and Ryder P.I. (1986).
- Knew Red Skelton. Because of Skelton, he omitted cursing from his act. "When you curse it is like putting poison in the medicine. People feel good after they laugh." Skelton told him.
- Bob Nelson got his first start as an entertainer as a stand up comedian, appearing on The Big Laff Off (TV Series) in 1978. He is most famous for his hilarious football routine as well as his "Jiffy Jeff" boxer and his also famous duck routine.
- Went to the same high school as the Baldwin brothers.
- Came up in the comedy industry with Howard Stern's former head writer Jackie Martling; Bob called into Howard's show to prove he had a better career than Jackie (upon Stern's prompting), and Bob sang Jackie "Happy Birthday" since it was Jackie's birthday. Ironically, years earlier, Bob had appeared in the low budget comedy Ryder P.I. that had also featured both Stern and Martling.
