- He got the name "Anvil" when he won an Anvil Tossing contest at the Calgary Stampede festival. Stu Hart paid him $500 to do it.
- He and Ellie have three children - Jennifer, a master gourmet chef and caterer for one of the most prestigious companies in Calgary, Natalie, and Kristen ("Muffy"), who was married in early June 2007.
