- Jay Nefcy was born on March 7, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He was a director and cinematographer, known for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993), The Truman Show (1998) and Love & Other Drugs (2010). He died on December 8, 2022 in Florence, Oregon, USA.
- Member of the International Cinematographers Guild, IATSE Local 600. Charter member and the first treasurer of The Society of Camera Operators (SOC). Nefcy was influential establishing the introduction of the Children's Hospital as the Charity for the SOC as well securing The Friar's Club for the inaugural Lifetime Achivement Awards.
- Father of animation producer, writer, director Daron Nefcy.
