Biography

Guusje Nederhorst was born on February 4, 1969 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. She was an actress and writer, known for Goede tijden, slechte tijden (1990), Pittige tijden (1996) and Goede tijden, slechte tijden: De reünie (1998). She was married to Dinand Woesthoff and Sander Dikhoff. She died on January 29, 2004 in Scheveningen, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands.

1 son, Dean Maddy, born on June 29, 2003. Father is Dinand Woesthoff.

She wrote songs for children, and started writing a book for children.

After her death, husband Dinand Woesthoff wrote and recorded his tribute to her: "Dreamer (Gussie's Song)". Most Dutch radio stations aired it on the day of her funeral (which would have been her 35th birthday), February 4, 2004, at 12:00 pm. Directly after the single hit the streets a week later on Feb. 11, it entered the major Dutch hit lists at the No. 1 position. All revenues of this single are donated to the Dutch cancer institute, the Koningin Wilhelmina Fonds.

She was buried on February 4th, the day she would have turned 35. The funeral, restricted to family and close friends, was attended by Johnny de Mol, Katja Schuurman and Chris Zegers, with his girlfriend Wendy van Dijk.
