Patricia Nardo is known for Rhoda (1974), It's Not Easy (1982) and Lily (1975).

The "Taxi" characters, Elaine Nardo and Tony Banta, were named after writers Pat Nardo and Gloria Banta. James L. Brooks, the creator of "Taxi", often worked with them on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "Rhoda".
