- Brunette stage, screen and voice-over actress who began her career in East Germany. Though initially trained as a seamstress, she attended the drama school of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin from 1948 to 1951. From 1951 to 1953, she had her first permanent engagement at the Staatstheater in Schwerin. This was followed by the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam from 1953 to 1958 and the Deutsches Theater in Berlin again, from 1958 to 1966. On screen from 1956, she has also been active in radio plays and audio book productions.
