  • In 1979 happened a momentous incident when Gunnar Möller killed his wife, the actress Brigitte Rau with a stool during a divorce brawl. He was sentenced to prison for five years because of second-degree murder but was already released on probation in 1981.
  • The actor Gunnar Möller already drew the audience's attention to him as a child actor when he took part in several movies during World War II.
  • He was able to continue his film career and took part in "Im Zeichen des Kreuzes" (1983), "Die Nacht der vier Monde" (1984), but especially the theater represented the centre of his creativity.
  • He gained a foothold again in the film business after the war with the production "Wozzeck" (1947), it followed the movies "Heimliches Rendezvous" (1949) and "Hans im Glück" (1949).
  • After his stage education he worked among others together with Gustaf Gründgens. It was the theater which offered him his first engagements after the war. He worked successfully on the stages of Berlin and later Munich.
  • In the 50's followed the height of Gunnar Möller's career with roles in popular productions.
  • His popularity decreased in the 60's and his activities varied between theater, cinema and TV.
  • Son of a master optician.
  • Has three children from his marriage with Rau, Brigitte: Michael, Florian and Hillevi.
