Philip Neil Murray was born on August 27, 1950 in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He is an actor, known for Bird of Prey (1982), Me Me Me (2011) and Whitesnake: In Performance (2006).

Bassist in Whitesnake (1977-1986), Gary Moore (1982-1983), Black Sabbath (1989-1991, 1994-1995)

Murray is second only to David Coverdale in terms of who played on the most Whitesnake recordings.

Currently touring Europe with M3, a Whitesnake Tribute band featuring former Whitesnake members Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden.
