For his portrayal of the crabbed and misunderstood teacher Malley in the play "Child's Play" at the Forum Theater in Summit, IL., in the Seventies, won a Joseph Jefferson Award.
He was nominated for the 1972 Joseph Jefferson Awards in Actor in a Principal Role for his performance in "Child's Play" and for Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in "The National Health" which both played at the Candlelight Forum Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
