Timbaland was born on March 10, 1971 in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. He is a music artist and composer, known for Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Romeo Must Die (2000) and Doctor Dolittle (1998). He has been married to Monique Idlett since June 10, 2008. They have one child.

One of the most celebrated hip hop producers of the last 10 years, making beats for artists such as Jay-Z, Ludacris, Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Rihanna and Brandy Norwood.
Timbaland was known along with Missy Elliott and Magoo, with the latter formed the duo "Timbaland & Magoo". He started in the music world as a hip hop DJ, "DJ Timmy Tim".

Tim was a close friend and collaborator of Aaliyah, indeed after the death of Aaliyah, he spent some time away from the world of music.

Also, he is a close friend of Missy Elliott and Pharrell Williams.
