Leonard Mosley was born on February 11, 1913 in Manchester, Lancashire, England, UK. He was a writer, known for They Can't Hang Me (1955), Foxhole in Cairo (1960) and Film Profile (1955). He died on March 25, 1992 in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France.

For many years, he was the film critic of the London "Daily Express" newspaper; indeed, he was in post at the time the film of his book "Foxhole In Cairo" first came out, but a second-string critic reviewed it (favourably).
