Biography

Lucha Moreno was born on April 23, 1939 in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Mexico. She was an actress, known for Asesinos, S.A. (1957), Quinceañera (1987) and Tirando a matar (1961). She was married to José Juan Hernández. She died on April 15, 2026 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.

At the time of her death, she was one of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema.

Lucha Moreno was a Mexican singer (as a performer, she specialized in the ranchera genre) and actress.

Lucha Moreno also participated in telenovelas such as Quinceañera (1987), Amor en silencio (1988) and Te sigo amando (1996).

With her husband, singer José Juan, she formed the successful duet Lucha Moreno y José Juan, recording in the 1960s and 1970s.

She debuted in films singing "La noche de mi mal" in Asesinos, S.A. (1957), starring Resortes and Kitty de Hoyos.
