Her daughter Brooklyn Doris' name holds a special meaning. Per Moore, Brooklyn is in reference to the location she met her husband Marc Daly, and Doris is after her late grandmother (died in 2017) who raised her.

Kenya won Miss Michigan USA 1993 & Miss USA 1993 when she was 22 years old.

Conceived her daughter Brooklyn through in vitro fertilization and gave birth to her two months before her 48th birthday via emergency cesarean section after she had tested positive for preeclampsia - a pregnancy complication that caused her to gain 17 lbs in one week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine.
